八吉祥，又稱八寶吉祥，藏語稱為扎西達吉，是藏傳佛教中最常見的圖案之一，象徵佛陀的一切功德。八吉祥包括寶傘、雙魚、寶瓶、蓮花、法螺、吉祥結、寶幢和法輪。
寶傘象徵佛法的權威，能保護眾生免於苦惱。
雙魚代表佛陀的雙眼，慈悲地觀照眾生，消除無明。
寶瓶象徵佛陀的頸，傳遞妙法，像甘露一樣平息煩惱。
蓮花則象徵佛陀的舌，宣講清淨的正法，無上清淨。
法螺代表佛陀的語言，象徵法音的無礙流通。
吉祥結象徵佛心的廣大，通達一切實相。
寶幢代表佛陀的法身，能抵禦煩惱，獲得覺悟。
法輪象徵佛陀的教法，轉法輪度化眾生，代表各種修行法門。
壇幫不僅象徵本尊的智慧和威德，同時也是一種顯示佛教宇宙真理的圖繪，一種「無限的大宇宙」和「內在的小宇宙」相即的微妙空間。壇城的一切在本質上都是大樂與空性的密續智慧。西藏僧人以壇城唐卡為視覺上的輔助，幫助他們集中精神，進入冥想世界，啟動內在精神力量。
The Eight Auspicious Symbols, known as "Tashi Deleg" in Tibetan, are key motifs in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing the Buddha's virtues. They include:
1. Canopy: the authority of the Buddha's teachings and protects beings from suffering.
2. Golden Fish: the Buddha's eyes, observing and dispelling ignorance.
3. Vase: the Buddha's neck and conveys teachings that soothe suffering.
4. Lotus: the Buddha's tongue, articulating pure teachings.
5. Conch Shell: the Buddha's voice and the unobstructed flow of the Dharma.
6. Endless Knot: the vastness of the Buddha's mind and understanding of reality.
7. Victory Banner: the Buddha's teachings, overcoming obstacles and attaining enlightenment.
8. Dharma Wheel: the Buddha's teachings and the various paths of practice.
Mandala not only symbolizes the wisdom and power of the deity but also serves as a depiction of the Buddhist cosmic truth, representing a subtle space where the "infinite macrocosm" and the "inner microcosm" converge. Everything within the mandala essentially embodies the wisdom of great bliss and emptiness. Tibetan monks use mandala thangkas as visual aids to help them focus their minds, enter the meditative realm, and activate their inner spiritual power.
