陽明經（足陽明經、手陽明經）是人體最長的經絡。開口於口鼻，貫穿於四肢及臟腑，足陽明屬於胃、散於胃、通於心、出於口。手陽明絡於肺、入屬大腸、經迎香穴和與足陽明胃經。孔子稱其為：「人體的龍脈，氣血生化之海。」黃帝曰：「陽明虛則病」所以，是對人體健康影響極大的經脈。

陽明經應該如何來養護呢，黃帝說：「五氣各有所主，唯香氣湊脾」。故香氣是養護陽明經，治未病，保健養生的良藥。
